Conscious Cook is a labour of love by me, Paul Cooper. (Yes, that means I’m not getting paid to do it.) Until recently I was the Campaigns Manager at Adbusters. Now I do communications and design independently. I like food (in a caveman sort of way) and find that researching slow food, food politics and sustainable agriculture issues often has tasty results. I first got my hands dirty many years ago when I worked for an organic produce distributor and got up close and personal with all manner of fruit and veg. Since then, I’ve been happy to watch the food movement grow by leaps and bounds.
After many years in Vancouver, British Columbia, my wife and I recently moved to Salt Spring Island.
